Combining years of global health nonprofit experience with design and writing skills, we bring an interdisciplinary and inclusive approach to tackling challenges faced by communities at home and abroad. As collaboration specialists, we improve information equity worldwide by working with international artists and local languages.
Julia Shivers is an independent writer and communications consultant for authors, digital media teams, and production companies. She is Co-founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit OncArt Inc., a free online library of shareable health messages to promote Art for Health Literacy, Everywhere. Based in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, Julia is a student of East African culture and Bantu languages, such as Kinyarwanda, Runyankore, Lhukonzo, and Swahili.
Eliza Squibb uses textile design to bridge the worlds of art and health. Her research in traditional art practices has taken her to Tunisia and the Peruvian Amazon, where she organized design workshops in Yine-Yami, Shuar, and Shipibo indigenous communities. Based in Providence, Rhode Island, Eliza spends Saturday mornings with talented teen artists at Project Open Door, where she is an instructor for Rhode Island School of Design's college access program.
